What is ‘Check and Collect’ and how do I use it?

‘Check and Collect’ is a digital feature that allows you to scan your in-store purchased lottery ticket(s) via The Lott website or app and claim any eligible prizes into your online account. To use this feature, you will need to have an online account with The Lott Members Club.  

How do I use the ‘Check and Collect’ feature?

‘Check and Collect’ is a simple way to check and claim eligible lottery prizes online.

Claiming via The Lott website:

1. On thelott.com, select 'Check my ticket’ under the Results tab.
2. Enter your ticket number or scan the barcode using your device’s camera.
3. Click the ‘Check my ticket’ button.
4. If your ticket wins a prize, you will receive a ‘Winning ticket’ message. Any non-winning entries will show a ‘No prize won’ message.
5. For eligible winning tickets, click the ‘Claim prize now’ button.
6. Tap ‘Yes’ to have your prize paid directly into your online account.

Claiming via The Lott app:

1. On The Lott app, select ‘Scan your ticket’ on the home page.
2. Scan the bottom barcode on the front of your ticket.
3. If your ticket wins a prize, you will receive a ‘Winning ticket’ message. Any non-winning entries will show a ‘No prize won’ message.
4. For eligible winning tickets, click the ‘Claim prize now’ button.
5. Tap ‘Yes’ to have your prize paid directly into your online account. 

Can all lottery prizes be claimed with the ‘Check and Collect’ feature?

Only prizes under $100,000 can be claimed using the ‘Check and Collect’ feature. 

Regardless of the prize amount, the following prizes can’t be claimed using ‘Check and Collect’: 

• Division 1 prizes
• Set for Life Division 2 prizes
• Lucky Lotteries 1st Prizes and Jackpot Prizes
• Keno Spot 10 prizes
• Instant Scratch-Its prizes
• Free ticket prizes
• Prizes on multi-draw tickets where the draws are still in progress (last draw must be finalised to be able to claim)
• Tickets purchased in a state/jurisdiction that is different jurisdiction to your online account.

Can I use my claimed prize funds to purchase entries in-store or online?

Yes, you can pay in-store with your online account funds, except when purchasing Instant Scratch-Its tickets, Keno tickets, Keno Coin Toss tickets, and SyndiMate tickets. 

Similarly, when purchasing online, you can use the funds available in your online account to complete the transaction.
