Once your account is deactivated, any remaining funds become ‘unclaimed monies’ and will be typically transferred to the relevant state offices.
Customers in QLD:
For registered Golden Casket players, unclaimed monies from verified accounts are sent to the Queensland Public Trustee and are available from 1 June of the following year after your account was deactivated.
For registered Golden Casket players, unclaimed monies from unverified accounts are sent to the Queensland Office of Liquor and Gaming and are available after your account has been deactivated.
For non-registered Golden Casket players, unclaimed monies are sent to the Queensland Office of Liquor and Gaming (QOLGR).
Outside QLD:
If your account is verified
$20 or more outstanding funds – verified accounts
If you have not claimed your funds from The Lott before the end of February following your account deactivation, they become unclaimed monies and need to be sent to the Victorian State Revenue Office. You can claim any unclaimed monies from the Victorian State Revenue Office from June of the same year.
$20 or less outstanding funds – verified accounts:
Once your account is deactivated, you have until the end of the following February to claim your funds from The Lott. To claim your funds from us, you’ll need to provide the information we request from you to verify your identity.
If your account is unverified
$20 or more outstanding funds – unverified accounts
If you have not claimed your funds from The Lott before the end of February* following your account deactivation, they become unclaimed monies and need to be sent to the Victorian State Revenue Office. You can claim any unclaimed monies from the Victorian State Revenue Office from the following June.
*Only if your account was deactivated before 28 November. (If your account was deactivated after 28 November, you have until February in 2 years' time to claim your funds following account deactivation.)

After that time, The Lott retains these funds in line with our Terms and Conditions, as it is under the minimum threshold imposed by the relevant unclaimed money law.
