You can cancel your online lottery ticket as long as it is within the specified timeframe, usually before the closure of the first draw on the ticket.
- For a ticket into a Weekday Windfall, Oz Lotto, Powerball, Saturday Lotto, Super 66, or Lotto Strike draw, you can cancel your ticket up until the draw’s closure.
- For a ticket into a Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot or Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw, your ticket can only be cancelled on the same day it was purchased and only if the draw has not yet closed.
- For a ticket into multiple draws or a Set for Life draw, you can cancel your ticket only if it is before the first scheduled draw on the ticket.
- You can cancel a Play For Purpose charity raffle ticket as long as the draw you have purchased has not sold out or closed. If you’re a winner of the Play For Purpose Early Bird Bonus Draw, you won’t be able to cancel your raffle ticket.
To cancel your online lottery ticket:
- Log in to your online account at www.thelott.com or via The Lott app
- Select the account icon
- Select Tickets (or My Tickets on The Lott app)
- Identify the ticket you wish to cancel
- On the website, select the i information icon and then select Cancel Ticket.
- On The Lott app, select Cancel.
- The ticket will be cancelled immediately and appear in your Ticket History with the status Cancelled.
To cancel a lottery ticket purchased in-store:
You can cancel a lottery ticket at your original place of purchase, provided it's within the specified timeframes above.
