While playing your favourite lottery games online has never been easier or more convenient, we are aware that online users may be targeted with online scams or cyber-attacks by unauthorised third parties. At The Lott, we’re delivering easy options to help you protect your account and personal information when playing with us online.
SMS Security
SMS Security can be activated on your account, which will send you a one-time code via SMS to verify whenever you make changes to your account. You can opt in to SMS Security at any time in the settings of your account via The Lott website or The Lott app. All new accounts created with The Lott from 24 January 2024 will automatically be opted into SMS Security.
If you have opted into SMS Security, you will no longer be able to opt out, as keeping your information secure is of the utmost importance here at The Lott.
Debit and Credit Card Deposits
You will be asked for the CVV/CVC of your stored Debit or Credit Card when depositing funds into your account. This is an added step in preventing any fraudulent transactions on your account.
Simple ways to protect your password
Passwords are key to our identity, that’s why protecting them is so important! Creating a strong password is the first step in reducing the risk of unauthorised access. We recommend creating a unique password for your account with The Lott that is more than 10 characters long, and make sure you never write it down or share with others.
Keep your details up to date
We send you notifications whenever you make changes to your account so it’s important to make sure your account information such as your name, email address, and contact number are always up to date. You can update your details at any time within your account.
