Existing customers can opt into SMS Security, also known as two-factor authentication (2FA), for their online The Lott account. New accounts created after 12 February 2024, will automatically be opted in to SMS Security when they create an account with The Lott.
Once you’re registered, we’ll send you a randomly generated one-time SMS authorisation code to your nominated mobile phone every time you make a request to withdraw funds from your online account to a newly-nominated bank account.
You can opt in to SMS Security at any time by logging in to your The Lott account at thelott.com or via The Lott app.
Once you have opted into SMS Security, you will no longer be able to opt out of this extra security measure.
To opt into SMS Security on The Lott website:
- Log in to your online account at thelott.com.
- Select the account icon.
- Select Settings
- Select Enable Now and confirm your password when prompted.
- Confirm the mobile number you wish to register (only one mobile number can be registered per online account).
- Select Text Me and enter the one-time unique six-digit SMS code you receive to Verify.
To opt into SMS Security via The Lott app:
- Log in to your account via The Lott app.
- Select the account icon.
- Select Settings and then SMS Verification.
- Using the toggle, turn on SMS Verification.
- Confirm the mobile number you wish to register (only one mobile number can be registered per online account).
- Select Save and enter the one-time unique six-digit SMS code you receive to Verify.
