Eight weeks after the draw, a cheque is issued for unclaimed lottery prizes from in-store tickets that were registered to a player card.
The standard fee for a cheque is $4.00 (including GST).

Golden Casket prizes worth less than $6 will be placed on hold until a subsequent prize of the same value is won. You can continue to claim prizes under $6 in-store for 7 years.

NSW Lotteries prizes worth less than $6 will be placed on hold until a subsequent prize of the same value is won. You can continue to claim prizes under $6 in-store for up to 6 years.

Tatts (Victoria and Tasmania) prizes worth less than $6 will be placed on hold until a subsequent prize of the same value is won. You can continue to claim prizes under $6 in-store for up to 12 months.

Tatts NT (Northern Territory) prizes worth less than $6 will be placed on hold until a subsequent prize of the same value is won. You can continue to claim prizes under $6 in-store for up to 3 years.
- SA Lotteries prizes worth less than $6 will be placed on hold until a subsequent prize of the same value is won. If a subsequent prize is not won and automatically paid within 12 months, the prize will be forfeited. You can continue to claim prizes under $6 in-store for up to 12 months. There is an option to have prizes won on tickets purchased in-store to be paid directly into your online The Lott account or your bank account immediately after the draw.
